I have been meaning to get started reading these for years and I already own most of them. What I like about the way Darlene is hosting is that there are levels so you don't have to read the whole series. I'm going to sign-up for Level 1: 1-4 books. I have the omnibus edition with the first three books, but I don't like to read series books one right after another so...according to how I feel at the time, I will either read just the first book or the first three.

Hi, Michelle! I just wanted to welcome you to the Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge! I'm thrilled to have you join me and look forward to seeing your reviews! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteWOW you have quite a list here!! Good for you!! I really wanted to join the Telling Tales Challenge but I am not sure what books to read so I haven't joined the challenge....any suggestions? I also see you are in the Sookie Stackhouse Reading Challenge....I LOVE LOVE LOVE those books!! Have you seen the HBO series?? I am TOTALLY addicted to that series :) Happy reading to you and good luck!!
ReplyDeleteSuggestions for The Telling Tales challenge, let me see...there are several retellings by Gregory Maguire, author of Wicked (and I think the Wicked series could be included). Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister and Mirror, Mirror. There are some retellings by Robin McKinley...Beauty and Spindle's End. Also, The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey. I haven't read any of these, but I'm planning on reading a few of them for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I love the HBO series, but this will be my first read of the books.
